Zener Cards

The cards being used in that scene are called Zener cards, named after their designer, Karl Zener. There are 5 symbols used, the Circle, Square, Cross, Star, and Waves. In some decks they also color code them. The task is to shuffle the desk then without looking, intuitively guess the symbol/color by using only your intuition.
